Form a team with your girlfriends or family members! Each member of a team enters individually (no relay teams for this race) and indicates her team name on the race entry. Team members must all compete in the same distance division. They will compete against other teams in the same distance division in two separate categories: MOTHER-DAUGHTER and GIRLFRIENDS. Teams can consist of two women (Mother-Daughter) or four women (Girlfriends). The fastest average overall time wins in the category. Women who enter as a team and do not win the team category will stay in the running for Age Group and Athena awards.
Mighty Mujer is USAT-sanctioned; USAT rules apply.
All athletes must be members of USA Triathlon to compete. If you do not have an annual membership, you may purchase a $15 one-day pass during registration.
Athletes must be 12 years old or older to participate.
To ensure that athletes have a great race and are correctly seeded for the swim, all Mighty Mujer Triathlon participants are required to update their swim times by April 17. To update your swim time, follow these steps:
1. Go to a local 25-yard pool.
The vast majority of pools in El Paso are 25-yard. If you are out of the area, ask the pool staff.
2. Time yourself (or ask a buddy to time you!) as you swim 300 yards giving it your best effort.
300 yards is 6 out-and-back laps or 12 lengths of a 25-yard pool. City of El Paso pools are now equipped with digital clocks to make timing easier. In addition, the fantastic staff at Memorial Park Pool will be available to time your 300-yard swim during regular lap swimming hours.
3. Click the "UPDATE SWIM TIME" button below to submit your updated 300-yard swim time.
Athletes who do not update their swim times will be placed in the second wave following the first wave of all athletes with updated times.
"Like" Mighty Mujer Triathlon on Facebook to stay up-to-date on upcoming clinics, workshops, and events. This is also a fantastic place to connect with other Mighty Mujeres, share your training questions, and read helpful and inspiring articles picked just for you!
Every athlete must pick up her own race packet. On-site packet pick-up requires photo proof of identity (driver’s license, passport, etc).
