Form a team with your girlfriends or family members! Each member of a team enters individually (no relay teams for this race) and indicates her team name on the race entry. Team members must all compete in the same distance division. They will compete against other teams in the same distance division in two separate categories: MOTHER-DAUGHTER and GIRLFRIENDS. Teams can consist of two women (Mother-Daughter) or four women (Girlfriends). The fastest average overall time wins in the category. Women who enter as a team and do not win the team category will stay in the running for Age Group and Athena awards.
Mighty Mujer Triathlon is USAT-sanctioned; USAT rules apply.
All athletes must be members of USA Triathlon to compete. If you do not have an annual membership, you may purchase a $15 one-day pass during registration.
Athletes must be 12 years old or older as of December 31, 2018 to participate.
To ensure that athletes have a great race and are correctly seeded for the swim, all Mighty Mujer Triathlon participants are required to update their swim times by October 3. To update your swim time, follow these steps:
1. Go to a local 50-meter pool.
2. Time yourself (or ask a buddy to time you!) as you swim 400 meters giving it your best effort. 400 meters is 8 out-and-back laps at a 50-meter pool.
3. Click the "UPDATE SWIM TIME" button below to submit your updated 400m swim time.
Please note: if you swim in a 25-yard pool, you'll need to convert your time from yards to meters. Here's a calculator! Swim 500 yards, then enter your time into this conversion calculator.
Athletes who do not update their swim times will be placed in the second wave following the first wave of all athletes with updated times.
